Using a double opt-in is really the first step to be a good emailer. The Mautic DOI plugin is like a swiss army knife. It will help you have a good list + protect you from bots.
This plugin is a must have if you live in the EU or just want to be a good emailer.

Installation:
- Download from Github
- Extract and rename the plugin’s folder to JotaworksDoiBundle
- Clear cache and reload plugins: mautic:plugins:reload
