This plugin is still in Beta, some tutorial are not linked properly.

By installing the Mautic Tutorial Plugin you can have an interactive onboarding and help catalog right inside your Mautic installation. In order to activate the plugin, you need to do the following steps:

  • Install the Mautic Tutorial Plugin
    The plugin is free to download from Github. You can also download it from your Download Center. You should register on this page, because you will need an account to be able to use it. Registration is free. You can also log in if you have an account.
  • Create a new user in your Mautic.
    The tutorial plugin will collect statistical data from your instance. This data is not stored in any way, just used to generate the next steps, send you warnings give tips. It is fully GDPR compliant, as no individual person’s data is collected, only sum of information, and even that is not saved. Make sure you allow basic authentication in the Config / Api and clear the cache.
  • Enter your Mautic credentials in your account
    Open your profile page on Joeykeller.com, go to your account and enter your API credentials and website address.

Displaying guided tutorials inside Joeykeller.com

This is pretty much automatic. Go to your account and click on guided tutorials menu.

You should see something like this:

The tabs give you a bunch of new options and functions.

Among the next steps you can find the next recommended tutorials.

You can either watch or read a tutorial or you can skip them. Most tasks, like create an email, segment or campaign can be automatically identified. Some of them need to be set as completed by you. Here are the different icons that allow that:

Accomplishments will be listed once you complete a task manually, or you actually do it and there is a trace in your database. It looks like this:

You can always access postponed tasks and reactivate them:

Displaying guided tutorials inside Mautic

You can add the plugin to your Mautic instance as well. Follow these steps to do so:

  1. Download the Database Driven Custom Navigation plugin from Github and install it. It’s open source.
  2. Open the custom navigation tab in your settings. Create a new item.
  3. Add the followings:
    – Location: main
    – Label: Tutorials
    – Order: (you can leave this empty)
    – Icon: fa-solid fa-graduation-cap
    – Url: https://joeykeller.com/tutorials/index.php?key={YOUR_KEY}&secret={YOUR_SECRET}
    – Nav type: iframe
  4. Clear cache, log out and log in, and enjoy!
